  • Influence of foaming on internal pressure in the mold cavity; principles of part filling
  • Influence of foaming on thermoplastic material
  • Advantages in terms of parts design
  • Influence on prices; examples of part calculations
  • Process repeatability and quality control
  • Screws for foamed parts
  • Vibration and ultrasonic welding of MuCell parts
  • Mechanical behavior of MuCell foamed parts
  • Part and mold design

Practical part (2nd day)

  • Testing the influence of setting parameters on the process and molding
  • Low percentage of foaming and its effect on part refilling and sinks
  • High percentage of foaming and its effect on mechanical properties and weight savings
  • Influence of back pressure and screw speed setting on homogeneous gas mixing in the melt – impact on post-blow effect
  • Influence of melt and gas retention time on part defects (optimization of plasticizing delay time)
  • Influence of cooling time on post-blow effect
  • Influence of Roctool technology on post-blow effect
  • Influence of injection rate of foamed material on refilling

Basic knowledge of plastic injection technology and peripherals.

This training course is composed of a theoretical and a practical part. Training materials are provided for the theoretical part. The KM80/380CX machine is available and used for the practical training at KUBOUŠEK s.r.o. If the training is required directly at the customer, a machine must be available for this purpose.

Preconditions: No special knowledge is required.
